The for-profit privatized healthcare system is hurting all of us — and it’s gone on far too long.

The Coronavirus pandemic reveals the weaknesses of the U.S. healthcare system, especially the reliance on employer-sponsored health plans. Sharing our stories is a critical piece of advocating for the systemic changes that are necessary in order to guarantee our right to healthcare. Join Campaign for NY Health, Access to Independence of Cortland, and Physicians for a National Health Program NY Metro for a Virtual Advocacy Training on Healthcare Storytelling.

During the training, participants will:

  • discuss their experiences accessing healthcare, before and during the coronavirus crisis;
  • practice healthcare storytelling best practices; and
  • learn about opportunities to share their healthcare stories in advocacy for universal healthcare.

The training lasts approximately 2.5 hours and will be conducted using Zoom video conference.

Through this training, we seek to develop the advocacy leadership of New Yorkers most impacted by inequities in healthcare by providing trainings on story-based advocacy and universal coverage principles. Please share this invitation with interested community members who are passionate about healthcare justice.

Space is limited! RSVP to receive a confirmation email details for how to join the training via Zoom
