I just called Betty Little’s office. Not only did her staffer say outright she has no position on NYHealth Act, one way or the other. She then proceeded to try and educate me on Committee procedure by saying that only the chair of a committee has the power to bring a bill out of Committee, members don’t. In the next sentence she said one of the functions of Committee members was to vote on bills before them. You can’t have it both ways can you. I bring this up because she is the only legislator in NYS who, along with her staff is combative, and downright rude to her constituents. She can be this way in person. It’s frustrating, but I’ll keep on trying since we’re going to probably end up with her for two more years.
