Rally for New York Health Act at State Senator Marty Golden's Office

The New York State Assembly has done the right thing and voted to pass the New York Health Act and now it’s time for the Senate to do its job. Come out to rally and DEMAND that Sen. Marty Golden use his position on the New York Health Committee to release the bill (S4840) from committee for a floor vote. The legislative session ends in just a few weeks and New Yorkers deserve universal, single-payer healthcare.

Rally to pass the New York Health Act at Marty Golden's Bay Ridge, Brooklyn office! Let's demand his Health Committee bring the New York Health Act to the floor of the NYS Senate for a vote! Let's demand to know why Marty Golden opposes saving the New York State budget, businesses and individual residents BILLIONS of dollars in wasteful administrative costs. Let's demand that our state becomes the first to simplify the health insurance system and create a national model.

The New York Health Act will provide ALL residents with comprehensive coverage (primary of your choice, specialists, mental health, vision, dental, prescription drugs and more) on a graduated income scale that would benefit families making less than $400,000 (sorry richest 2%) - and it would do so while eliminating deductibles and co-pays. Since New York State would finance the program, the tab will be less than NY currently pays in administrative costs associated with working with commercial insurers.

This is not about tribalism or red vs. blue, it's about saving the lives and health of New Yorkers while also saving state and local governments, schools, businesses, families and 98% of individuals BILLIONS of dollars.
