New York has a healthcare crisis. 

For every one million people uninsured, 1,000 people die unnecessarily. In NYS, over one million people remain uninsured,* resulting in over 1000 unnecessary deaths** for New Yorkers.

This is unacceptable in the richest country in the world and a state where the rich continue to get richer. 

On Tuesday, January 3, the Campaign for New York Health joins the People's State of the State. The theme for this year's rally is "Crisis Response" because not only IS New York in crisis, we have a response.  The New York Health Act is one of many pieces of progressive legislation that the state legislature needs to pass in order to address the human rights crisis facing the state of New York.
