Together we’ve made huge strides in building support for the New York Health Act -– the bill to guarantee healthcare to everyone in our state.

In March, we achieved majority support of legislators in both the Assembly and Senate. In August, Leader Stewart-Cousins and Speaker Heastie publicly committed to work on passing the NY Health Act. We are coming up on an election year, and polling shows that New York voters overwhelmingly agree that healthcare is a human right. Victory is within reach, but we know that the last mile is always the hardest.
