The NEW YORK HEALTH ACT passed overwhelmingly in the NY Assembly the last 4 years in a row. For the last 2 years, the NY Senate was only one cosponsor shy of majority support in the Senate. The midterm elections saw gains in legislators supporting a single payer, expanded MEDICARE-FOR-ALL type system at both state and federal levels.  Fearing our success, the powerful insurance and pharmaceutical industries and their allies are deploying their enormous wealth to wage a counter-campaign of fear-mongering and lies to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt (a FUD campaign) to stop our movement.

Please join us on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13th at 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for a discussion of the gains we've made and a look ahead at how we can defeat the profiteers, get the New York Health Act up for a vote next year, and also advance the movement for a national single payer universal healthcare program!

The goal of bringing single payer healthcare to every New Yorker that seemed “impossible” just a few years ago is finally within sight. Now is the time to press even more towards the goal of making NY the best state in which to live and do business. Support is steadily growing and every additional voice adds to the momentum and makes a difference.
