If the Senate votes to strip millions of people of their access to health care, join us in the streets in downtown Syracuse to show that Syracuse believes Health Care is a Human Right!
If this vote takes place before 5:30, we are going to gather the same day at 5:30 in front of the Syracuse State Office Building. If the Senate votes to repeal the ACA after 5:30, we will gather the next day. If the Senate votes on the weekend, we will rally on Monday.
We will commit ourselves to fight back in every way possible to protect the health care we have and to win the health care we all deserve. We will commit to hold accountable all politicians and corporations who stand in the way of guaranteeing health care for everyone in our communities.
The choice of the state office building is strategic - we will call on State Senators and Governor Cuomo to stand up for the rights of New Yorkers and pass New York Health and continue to fight to protect the health care New Yorkers need. We will demand that New York steps up and provides for its own with the New York Health Act. We will demand our democratic right to health care.
