Social Media Splash: Improved Medicare for All National Day of Action, Sat. Aug. 22

Our statewide coalition is excited to join National Nurses United Saturday, August 22, 2020 for a national day of action for Improved Medicare for All!

Photo of nurses, healthcare workers and improved medicare for all supporters, many with fists in air and look like they are chanting, are holding National Nurses United signs that are white with red words on first line \

We’re in the midst of a public health crisis and a fight for democracy. We need to show massive public support for universal, guaranteed health care for all. Our current system is failing to protect millions — many of whom have lost their employer-based health care when they need it most.  Improved and expanded Medicare for All will guarantee healthcare for everyone in our community, no matter where we work, how much money we make, regardless immigration status. Everybody in, nobody out! Join the National Day of Action for Medicare for All to show our communities and elected leaders that we are fighting for universal, guaranteed care for all.

Can’t join in person? No problem - please join us on social media 3pm-5pm and on the phones to help amplify the actions and why you are fighting for universal guaranteed healthcare for all. RSVP at bottom to receive the Action Toolkit!

There are dozens of volunteer-led events happening across the country to demonstrate the strength of our movement and to call on our representatives in Congress to act.

Recent polling shows that 69% of voters support Medicare for All. We are the majority, but we need to be more vocal and visible to demand the support of our elected leaders. These actions are key to showing our collective power and growing our movement.
