Even though I work at least 40 hours per week with my company I do not have health insurance. Companies hire home care workers as"private contractors" in order not to cover their benefits including health insurance therefore people would choose to work less hours in order to be eligible for the State insurance. As health care workers it’s sad that we take care of other people health but are not able to be covered ourselves when we are sick.
