Walter Paul commented on Share Your Healthcare Story 2022-03-14 11:22:59 -0400In 2018 I was diagnosed with hyperplasia — my prostate had grown to 10 times its normal size, the largest that my doctor had seen. He and his partner, affiliated under the New York City workers begrudging health plan, advised me to see a Greenlight laser specialist rather than have them treat me via a radical prostatectomy. The new doctor was out of network. $50,000 out of pocket later I am well. But why did I have to accrue an onerous debt?
