Senator Bill Perkins is the lead Senate sponsor of the New York Health Act (S3525).   A lifelong resident ofHarlem, Bill Perkins started his political career as a community activist and is known for his unyielding commitment to serving the community. In 2016, he was a Bernie Sanders delegate to the Democratic National Convention.

Marva Wade, RN, is a First Vice President of NYSNA. NYNSA has for decades support legislation to implement universal healthcare.
