The New York Health Act and You: How we’re gonna win healthcare for all

The COVID pandemic exposes the failures of our healthcare system to meet  our needs and keep us healthy. Black, brown, and low-income New Yorkers  carry the greatest burden of exposure, with disproportionately more serving as  essential workers and fewer having access to quality healthcare. Meanwhile,  private health insurance corporations make record profits.

The New York  Health Act [A6058/S5474] establishes the right to healthcare by removing the financial and insurance barriers that keep healthcare segregated and unequal and that contribute to higher rates of preventable illnesses in BIPOC and other vulnerable communities.

Join this teach-in to learn more about how the Health Act will work and how you can help make guaranteed healthcare a reality for everyone in our state.
